Join the Family Volunteer Organization!

Updated: Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025

Dear City Garden Families,

We are excited to introduce the Family Volunteer Organization (FVO), a new initiative designed to strengthen connections between families, administration, and guides. The FVO provides meaningful ways for families to engage in school life, ensuring that every volunteer opportunity aligns with their unique interests and availability.

For those wishing to take on a leadership role, we are recruiting members for the Leadership Core. If you’d like to contribute to specific areas on an as-needed basis, we invite you to join one of our Working Groups:
- Fundraising
– Help generate funds to support FVO initiatives and school activities.
- Social Events – Organize fun, community-building events for City Garden families.
- Teacher Appreciation – Plan activities to recognize and celebrate our incredible guides and staff.
- Special Projects – Coordinate initiatives based on school needs.
- Volunteering – Support school projects through hands-on involvement.
- Extracurricular – Develop and expand after-school clubs and activities.
- Anti-Bias, Antiracism (ABAR) – Promote equity, inclusion, and social justice within our school community.

We are grateful for your time, commitment, and partnership in making City Garden Montessori a thriving, inclusive community for all children and families.

To learn more about the FVO or to reach the Leadership Core, please email fvo@citygardenschool.org.
In partnership,
Kim Dixon
Volunteer Coordinator
