Cameron first planted his roots at City Garden Montessori School as a bright, curious preschooler, and he has blossomed here, growing through each stage of his education. Now a thriving middle schooler, Cameron embodies the outcomes we aim to cultivate in each of our students: He is intrinsically motivated and an excellent student, deeply self-aware, socially conscious, and a leader who feels connected to something larger than himself.

With the nurturing soil of City Garden Montessori’s environment, Cameron has grown in confidence, deepened his compassion, and expanded his curiosity. Reflecting our Montessori principles of including students in meaningful decisions, Cameron served on the hiring committee that selected Markisha Young, our new Elementary & Adolescent Education Center principal. Cameron’s voice—rooted in experience and conviction—helped secure a leader who has already begun cultivating growth and community impact.

As Cameron considers his high school path, he’s ready to explore the world with a foundation as strong as an old oak and branches that reach new horizons. He carries the nurturing, inclusive environment that has fostered his love for learning and respect for others. Our students, like Cameron, are sought after by high schools because they embody resilience, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit—qualities cultivated in the rich soil of City Garden.
